
QUANDAMOOKA PEOPLE NATIVE TITLE AUTHORISATION MEETING AND INFORMATION SESSIONS
The Quandamooka People have their native title claim, the Quandamooka Coast Claim, in the Federal Court of Australia seeking recognition of their native title rights and interests under the Native Title Act (NTA). A map of the Quandamooka Coast Claim area is available upon request to QSNTS.
The Quandamooka People are the biological descendants of the following people:
- Nellie/Lilly Kidgeree
- Mary Indoole Compignie
- Elizabeth Ruska
- Charlie Moreton (Dandruba)
- Sidney Rollands (Kingal/Winyeeaba)
- Lillian Lyons (Dungoo)
- King Billy Toompani
- Juno (Gonzales)
- Liza Jungerboi (mother of Rose Martinnee Bain)
- Tommy Nuggin (Gendarieba)
- Tilly (mother of Tommy Dalton, Richard Dalton and Harry Lea)
- Kindarra,
who identify as and are accepted by other Quandamooka People as Quandamooka People according to Quandamooka traditional law and custom.
The current Applicant for the Quandamooka Coast Claim has instructed QSNTS to invite all members of the Quandamooka People to attend an Authorisation Meeting in relation to the Quandamooka Coast Claim.
QSNTS will hold Information Sessions ahead of the Authorisation Meeting to assist the Quandamooka People to be fully informed about matters to be discussed and decided at the Authorisation Meeting. The date, place and time of the Authorisation Meeting and Information Sessions are set out below.
You do not need to be member of the Quandamooka Yoolooburrabee Aboriginal Corporation (QYAC) to attend the Authorisation Meeting and Information Sessions. All that is required is that you are a Quandamooka person.

At each Information Session the QSNTS team will provide an update on the Quandamooka Coast Claim and provide information and legal advice relevant to the matters to be discussed and decided at the Authorisation Meeting.
The Information Sessions are not decision-making meetings. If you wish to be heard and have your say on the matters to be decided at the authorisation meeting, you will need to attend the authorisation meeting, on 21 June 2026.

QSNTS regrets that it is unable to assist with accommodation costs or transport to/from the Authorisation Meeting and Information Sessions. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided to attendees.
